What data we process and why
Account data (name, email address and encrypted password): to create your account, let you log in and save your progress. Legal basis: the contract for the use of the free service.
Date of birth: to check that you are at least 14 and, only if you ask for it, to send you a birthday greeting. Legal basis: compliance with the law (minimum age) and your consent (greeting).
Learning progress (words seen, correct answers, level): to prepare your daily sheet. Legal basis: the contract for the use of the service.
Approximate country and region of the connection you sign up from (no city or IP address): to know, as totals, where our students are from. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the service.
Email reminders (when you miss your sheet one day; one a day at most): only if you tick the box. Legal basis: your consent.
News and course offers: only if you tick the box. Legal basis: your consent.
You can withdraw any consent at any time, under “Account” or with the link at the bottom of every email.
Minimum age
You must be 14 or older to sign up (article 7 of Spanish Organic Law 3/2018).
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. If you delete it, we erase your data and your progress immediately, except what the law requires us to keep.
Who we share it with
With the providers that help us run the service: Cloudflare (hosting and database) and Resend (sending emails). We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising. These providers may process data outside the European Economic Area; when they do, they apply the safeguards of the GDPR (the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework).
Your rights
You can change your email preferences and delete your account under “Account”. You can also ask for access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction or portability by writing to [email protected], and you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).
Cookies
We only use one technical cookie to keep you logged in, and the browser’s storage to remember your language, your sound setting and a copy of your progress. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. To know how many visits the site gets we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and keeps no data that identifies you; and we count sign-ups and activity only as totals, without studying any individual student.
